Interview: Five Fathers by Kate Morgan

Hey everyone! Today, we’re joined by Kate Morgan, author of Five Fathers, for a special Q&A!

See what Kate thinks about writing a reverse harem series. You can also find out more about her book and enter a giveaway at the end!

Describe your book in 10 words.

Espionage, Romance, Steamy, Taboo, Violent, Emotional, Sexy, Suspense, Mobsters, #WhyChoose (it’s a one word tag haha)

What made you want to write a romance about Fathers?

They’re not actually Fathers. They’re undercover mercenaries posing as priests. Although I did have a reader contact me and ask for clarification on whether they were single dads or married and cheating… I laughed. (none of them actually have kids, it’s a play on priests not parents)

What was it like writing sex scenes involving members of the clergy?

I wouldn’t know! Haha, seeing as they’re not actually priests, its not really an issue? That’s just their disguise… and writing sex scenes for hot bad boy mercenaries and assassins is easy. wink

What is the easiest type of scene for you to write? The hardest? What’s the most fun?

The easiest in this book are actually the sex scenes. For some reason these scenes just came really naturally to these characters and I found they flowed well. Hardest was probably fight scenes where I needed to do countless diagrams for blocking and google types of weapons. The most fun was definitely writing Arsen’s POV chapter. That man is certifiable.

Why do you like the reverse harem sub-genre?

I love reading reverse harem as a genre because it’s the ultimate fantasy, isn’t it? It’s having your cake and eating it too. As well as the ice cream, cream, custard… uhh this is sounding dirty now.

If someone wanted to delve into reverse harem, which book or series would you recommend they begin with?

My personal favorites are the Kit Davenport series by Tate James and The Seven Mates of Zara Wolf series by CM Stunich.

Are there any releases coming up that we should keep an eye out for?

This book, Five Fathers, is the first in a trilogy so keep an eye out for book two announcement coming soon!

What’s your favourite sinful snack?

Cookies and cream ice cream, and frozen snickers bars. Together.

Sin or piety.

Those are the two things I’m choosing between when I walk up those stone steps and into the church. Heaven or hell. Pain or pleasure. But sometimes, pleasure brings more hurt than pain.

I’ve learned my lesson the hard way and that’s why I’m doing this, giving up everything I know and love for a whole new life. A life dedicated to something, someone, other than myself.

The thing is, sometimes fate has other ideas.

Out of all the churches in town, I picked this one. This building with its vaulted ceilings and stained glass and all its secrets. This building that houses them. My five worst sins. My five most awesome pleasures.

***FIVE FATHERS is a full-length stand-alone reverse harem novel from debut author Kate Morgan. It includes five sexy priests, one lucky woman, and lots and lots of steamy scenes. This book is naughty, but in the best way possible. Expect a happy ending but a suspenseful ride on the way there!
