Excerpt & Giveaway: Love, Across the Divide by Krystal Ford

Ok. Look. I know the political situation in the US (and the UK, to be honest) is a bit tense. Where Republicans and Democrats could previously mostly get along, there seems to be a bit of a civil war happening now. That’s exactly what Krystal Ford tackles in Love, Across the Divide, and we have an excerpt for you! I’m currently reading it, and it’s getting quite a number of strong emotions out of me, which probably means it’s doing its job. It’s definitely making me think more seriously than other romance novels! About the book Excerpt He turned to her, holding out a bag of corn tortillas. “We are making tacos.” He put her in charge of prepping the toppings, then disappeared into the fridge. When he emerged, his hands were full. “Tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cilantro, avocado, cheese.” She took the ingredients one by one from his hands and set everything in […]

Excerpt & Giveaway: Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole

We’re kicking off August with an excerpt from Deep Cover by Scarlett Cole! The third in her Love Over Duty series, fans of alpha heroes and workplace romance won’t want to miss this hot romantic suspense. About the book Excerpt “Where are you hiding my baby girl?” a large voice boomed from the Caesars Palace hallway. Valentina nodded her head in the direction of the doorway. “You should go find him before he disrupts any of the private tables,” she said with a smile. Amy wandered to the door and found her Stetson-clad father looking into one of the rooms. “I’m right here, Dad,” she said as she hurried to him and hugged him in the hallway. He smelled of leather and cigar smoke. Maybe it was because she’d lost her mother so many years ago, but it was impossible to explain the feeling of safety that washed over her when she was […]

Excerpt & Giveaway: Of Ashes and Sin by Ariana Hawkes & K. N. Knight

I know we just shared an excerpt, but this one is completely different. This one is for you Reverse Harem fans, from Of Ashes and Sin by Ariana Hawkes & K. N. Knight! And don’t miss the $30 Amazon gift card giveaway at the end! About the book Excerpt The guys went into the pool again after breakfast, their bronzed bodies glistening in the sunlight, but I kept my clothes on and took a walk around the perimeter of the area instead. I was edgy in a way I couldn’t explain. Yes, I was restless, but it wasn’t just that. I looked over at the three of them. Oran was swimming, his muscular back and tight buns showing on the surface of the water, while Zain and Rael were stretched out naked, two perfect specimens of manhood. I laughed hollowly. This would be any woman’s ultimate fantasy. Am I crazy not to just relax […]

Excerpt & Giveaway: A Gentleman Never Keeps Score by Cat Sebastian

Queen of LGBTQ+ historical fiction Cat Sebastian is back with A Gentleman Never Keeps Score, and we have an excerpt! First, here’s a bit more about the book, and don’t forget to enter the giveaway at the end! About the book Excerpt Now that he had this stranger in his library, Hartley was having misgivings about the soundness of his plan. First, this man was significantly larger than anyone needed to be. The Hepplewhite chair hardly contained him. Hartley had good reasons for not feeling particularly at ease around large men, but this man didn’t seem threatening. He sat in that chair as if it were a church pew, his hat politely on his lap. Hartley started to lower himself into the matching chair beside his guest, but then thought better of it and perched on the edge of a table, enjoying a false but comforting sense of height. Second, it was unwise to trust […]

Excerpt & Giveaway: Discovering You by Kate McBrien

Happy Hump Day! How about a little bit of foreplay from Discovering You by Kate McBrien? About the book Excerpt Justin reached for her hand. “Come here.” Lucy took one step forward, and Justin cradled her face, gazing into her eyes. He leaned in slowly and gave her a gentle kiss. His lips were soft and full as they touched hers. It was a tender kiss at first, but soon the kiss deepened. His kiss should have felt new, but instead it felt like coming home to something rooted deep within her. His fingers wound around her hair, pulling her even closer to him. He moaned as Lucy parted her lips, allowing his tongue access inside, exploring her depths. Something detonated inside Lucy as she ran her fingers through his hair. It seemed as if all the anxiety she usually had around men had evaporated. Justin pulled away, his eyes exploring […]

Meet the Cast: Michelle Hazen’s dream cast for Insatiable

Michelle Hazen is back with Insatiable, the next standalone in her Sex, Love, and Rock & Roll series. When a sex addict lead singer falls into friendship with a hard rock diva, he must fight their attraction or risk ruining her life. Fans of rockstar romances will devour this angsty yet heartwarming story about a bad boy who’s a good man. Today, Michelle is here to introduce us to her hero and heroine, and she’s got some pictures to help you picture them! An Insatiable dream cast Jax If I were casting a movie version of Insatiable, I would know immediately who would play Ava. But Jax is much harder since (don’t laugh) most movie stars aren’t hot enough to measure up. However, I did manage to find some pics of a man who could carry off his sharp, masculine beauty and the weight of the shame and uncertainty that follows […]

Review, Excerpt & Giveaway: A Taste of Pleasure by Chloe Blake

The Faerie Queen’s review Who loves food? Who loves Italian food? Because mmmmmmm. This book made me HUNGRY. For food… and for Toni. A Taste of Pleasure describes the way this book started off. Dani and Toni meet at their friends’ wedding, where Dani has done the catering and Toni has provided the wines. They have a night of pleasure – one they both need with their respective recent romantic experiences. Dani was in a weird sexual relationship with her boss, while Toni was just divorced from his wife (and mother of his daughter). The morning after their encounter, Dani sneaks away, not wanting any awkwardness. It’s not until a year later, when Dani’s career has blown up in her face (she catches the boss cheating, big surprise) and she takes a break with her mom in Milan, where she began her career has a chef. In a weird twist of fate, […]

Review, Excerpt & Giveaway: Mistake of Magic by Alex Lidell

The Faerie Queen’s review YESSSS book 2 in the Power of Five series! I adored the first book, so I was psyched to read the second instalment. But also dead nervous because so many series that start well flop in the next book. In this book, the quint faces down the council, eager to break them one way or another. They must prove to the rest of the fae that Lera deserves to be there despite being human. Basically, that she is not, in fact, a mistake of magic. As with the first book, yes, this is a reverse harem romance, but it’s also a great fantasy story with an interesting world and lovable/detestable characters. I enjoyed seeing the inner workings of the Council, which was the main focus of this. But even more than that, I loved seeing all the men in Lera’s quint open up more and show other sides to […]

Excerpt: The Highlander’s Promise by Lynsay Sands

Happy Friday! Lynsay Sands is continuing her Highlanders series with book 6, The Highlander’s Promise, and we’ve got an excerpt for you! There’s also a giveaway to enter at the end for the WHOLE SERIES (in paperback)! About the book Excerpt “Did I do something to anger you?” Jetta asked with a frown. His eyebrows rose at the question. “Nay. What would make ye think that?” “Because you have not kissed nor touched me again since then. I thought either you thought I did not want you to, or that I had somehow angered you, or that you simply tired of me and did not want me anymore because of my shorn head and my being too thin.” “Oh, lass,” Aulay said softly, cupping her cheek with his hand. “Ye’ve no’ angered me, and I am definitely no’ tired o’ ye. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Every […]

Excerpt & Giveaway: Galaxies and Oceans by N.R. Walker

Two men must face their pasts and open themselves up to love again in Galaxies and Oceans by N.R. Walker, released this week. Enjoy an excerpt to get you going down below, plus enter to win a $50 Amazon gift card! About the book Excerpt Aubrey Patrick had put out two bowls of minestrone-style soup and what looked like home-baked bread. “Do you make your own bread?” I asked. Patrick sat down quietly opposite me. “Only when I make soup.” “Well, this looks incredible.” It really did. Being cold and hungry, it didn’t get any better than homemade soup and bread. I tasted a small spoonful of the soup. “Okay, wow.” He finally smiled and relaxed. “Thanks.” “You’re a really good cook.” “Just for the homely stuff. I’m not much good at that fancy kind of cooking.” “This,” I gestured to the food he’d put on the table, “is better than any […]
