Ok, that’s a lie. I know how to write emails. Emails and project notes. Apparently, that’s my life now! Hi everyone. I know, I know, it’s been quiet. The silence has been deafening. Here’s the thing. This year has been a big year for me, insomuch as it’s been my first Single Year since I became an adult. And it’s been an amazing year, don’t get me wrong. Not being in a relationship – especially a relationship that wasn’t all that good for me – has allowed me to grow in so many ways. But it has also completely fucked […]
Danger, divine magic, and desire come together in this new fantasy from Jeffe Kennedy that drew me in with rebellions and magical dresses. This was a book I could just about sink into, losing myself to the political scheming, bloody battles, and that delicious banter I crave in my romances. So I was absolutely thrilled with the opportunity to ask Jeffe a few questions about some aspects of the book that really spoke to me as I began reading, as well as how she manages to keep everything in order while being an absolute boss of an author! Plus, don’t […]
I did a thing! As part of Hero Collector’s Back to Hogwarts tour, I painted Dumbledore like the night sky as the sun sets, with Fawkes rising up into the stars. Or at least, I tried to. You can judge! To make things even more interesting, I used oil paints, which is not an easy medium to use on a figurine as detailed as Dumbledore, let me tell you. This book has been a long time coming. I read Gathering Frost (Sleeping Beauty) and Withering Rose (Beauty and the Beast) back in May 2016, and we’ve finally got the third book in the series now in 2019 with another planned. And I am so excited. Given how many books I read and my appalling ability to remember details beyond a few hours, I actually do remember especially Withering Rose quite well, and I remember enjoying both of them, without having to look back at my reviews. When Kaitlyn reached out asking if I remembered her books, it all came rushing […]

For a cold day in hell, it’s unseasonably warm. Announcing Trouble hooked me in from the very first sentence. That doesn’t happen often. Something about it just clicked with me, maybe because I’ve been feeling like the world as a whole (and my own world) has taken a bizarre turn, but it’s still summer. (But who are we kidding, this bizarre turn started back in 2016.) And it kept me on the line, both with witty banter and some solid girl power. In Announcing Trouble, we have Josie and Garrett. Josie knows baseball inside and out, but she avoids it […]
Ok, so I’m not the best person to be giving advice on how to write the best blog posts, but in a way, that means this post I’m sharing today is perfect for me. It’s given me useful pointers for my own posts, and I’m off to download Yoast right now, as maybe it can demystify SEO for me… When it comes to writing your blog posts, there are lots of different rules that you are told to adhere to. Whilst it may help ensure you create blog posts that are popular, often it’s a lot simpler than people make […]
