Cover Reveal: A Really Bad Idea by Jeannine Colette

Hubba hubba! The cover I have to share with you today is sexy as sin. Mostly because of the way the light highlights the models’ beautiful bodies. Anyway, there’s more than just the cover to love here. A Really Bad Idea by Jeannine Colette also sounds amazing: a woman hoping for a child is propositioned by her sexy and smart best friend, with two conditions. I need to see how this goes down! Excerpt & Giveaway: The Honeymooner (Paradise Bay #1) by Melanie Summers

As the April showers really kick in over here in the UK, I am once again dreaming of an escape to somewhere warm and sunny. So it seems only fitting to feature The Honeymooner by Melanie Summers today! I’ve got a funny little excerpt, and there is a killer giveaway at the end. About the book Excerpt “Oh my God…did we…?” I press the sheet to me again, gripping it so tightly, my knuckles turn white. “You don’t remember? It was amazing. The earth moved. And you—you were loud enough that we probably cleared out the entire resort.” He grins at me, then rolls off the bed and starts across the room, giving me a view of his muscly back and behind. Those are some seriously tight shorts. No, Libby! Do not focus on his taut buttocks! You are not that kind of girl. “I’m very sorry, but I’m afraid I […]

Review & Excerpt: Can’t Escape Love (Reluctant Royals #3.5) by Alyssa Cole

Review & Excerpt: Can’t Escape Love (Reluctant Royals #3.5) by Alyssa Cole

The Faerie Queen’s review I did something very silly and jumped from reading book 1 to book 3.5, but whatever, I really wanted Reggie’s story. I will definitely be going back to read the other books because this series is fab though! Anyway, we met Reggie in the first book as a badass lady who runs a website for geeky women to safely celebrate their geekitude. (Because the internet and the real world aren’t always too kind to nerdy women…) Reggie is killing it with her website, but she’s starting to slip up because she can’t sleep. Before she even started the website, she stumbled across a livestream of a guy who liked to talk while solving puzzles, and his voice used to calm her enough to sleep. She used replays of those livestreams until months before when they were all deleted. Now desperate, she hunts down the guy’s email […]

Review & Excerpt: The Boyfriend Experience by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

Review & Excerpt: The Boyfriend Experience by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde

The Faerie Queen’s review I’m a big fan of the fake relationship trope, so I jumped at the chance to read The Boyfriend Experience. The story centres around Evie and Eric, the former needing a boyfriend to accompany her to a family reunion so as to ward off pitying looks from her family after a recent breakup. This was a very light-touch romance, perfect for a mental diversion. While heavy topics were introduced, including bullying and the loss of family, it didn’t sink down into the darker feelings too much. I particularly enjoyed the easy chemistry between Evie and Eric, with lots of flirting and just enough confidence from each of them without edging into arrogance. I just wish there was more. The actual weekend went by so quickly, with only a few activities played out in any kind of detail. These could have been filled out more to show […]

Guest Post: Darcie Boleyn, author of Love at the Northern Lights, on why you should visit Norway

Hi everyone! We have a special guest post for you from Darcie Boleyn, author of Love at the Northern Lights! Today, author will be sharing why you should visit Norway. Then read her book to see visit it in your imagination before you book your flights! Why visit Norway? Love at the Northern Lights is dedicated to my dad and to the dreams we shared. The story isn’t about him, or me, but it was inspired by our conversations and our bucket list. My dad was one of my best friends and we always planned on travelling together. Norway was one of the places we talked about visiting. With its mountains, glaciers and deep coastal fjords, it sounded perfect. There would be the chance to see authentic Viking ships in Oslo’s museum, to take a cruise on the Sognedfjord – Norway’s longest and deepest fjord – and to hike and ski. And, of course, there […]
