The Faerie Queen’s review Anthologies are always a risk for me, especially when published independently. The last one I tried was a disaster, with no proofreading and only half-baked ideas. Writing short stories can often be tougher than writing novels, as you have less time to get the characters, world, and plot together. But I do try to pick up an anthology from time to time, especially when delving into a genre I haven’t read in a while, as it’s a way to almost play catch up with the genre, plus it’s a great way to get to know some new authors.
