The Faerie Queen’s review Ugh, I wish I’d read the other books in the series first because I feel like I missed out on a lot of the banter and lead-up to this book! I signed up for the tour because I was intrigued by the idea of a female security specialist butting heads (and bumping other parts) with a very alpha coworker. I could see the potential for steamy banter a mile away! I could completely see where Gia was coming from. In such a stereotypically masculine industry, she felt the constant need to prove herself, not showing any hint of femininity except what was needed for a job.   The Faerie Queen’s review What a way to start a book… From the very first scene, I was on Team Gavin. He was so charming and caring and gaaaaah. I wanted him. His cockiness never came across as arrogance; it was just fun and endearing and sexy. He and Cait talked about how he might joke too much, and that sometimes he didn’t know when to quit, but I never saw that. Gavin was basically perfect; flawed, but nicely so. And maybe one of my favourite things about him?
