Review: His Outback Temptation by Annie Seaton

The Faerie Queen’s review This one was a really weird one for me. For a romance, it didn’t really hit the mark. But then I did appreciate some of the things it did do. So what do I mean? Let me see if I can break it down. Sebastian (Seb) is the last of four grandchildren to come home to the farm that his grandparents handed over to Seb and his cousins. As a photographer, he’s travelled the world, but now’s the time to come home, or so he thinks. On his plane is the Italian Isabella (Bella), who is visiting her dad in Prickle Creek before going off to Windsor, England to follow her culinary ambitions in a posh pub. In a somewhat problematic “meetcute”, the two find each other in the airport and decide to go back to Prickle Creek together. From a modern life standpoint, I liked […]

Review: His Outback Nanny by Annie Seaton

The Faerie Queen’s review I’m going to need to keep an eye on Annie Seaton, because I really enjoyed His Outback Nanny. I mean, I couldn’t stop. (Basically, he wanted to do all of the fun stuff while she handled the messy stuff.) And for their personalities, this division of labour did make sense. I can appreciate that not everyone wants the same kinds of things out of life, and despite […]

Review: Blame It on the Bet by L.E. Rico

The Faerie Queen’s review “You’ll get hurt again at some point in your life. We all do. That’s the price of living. But what’s the point of living if you don’t at least try?” Fellow readers, I have been on a heartwarming journey about home, family, and finding out who you are alongside someone who loves that very person. It was full of fuzzies. I can understand why this is an Entangled Bliss story as opposed to one of the other Entangled imprints. The focus of the romance was very warm but not hot, if you know what I mean. The steamier stuff was hinted at, but while Hennessy and Bryan did find each other very attractive, it was their respective personalities and vulnerabilities that drew them to each other. I also loved how there wasn’t any messing about, not really. Hennessy was especially direct, and it was unexpected and […]
