Review: The Twelve Days of Seduction by Eva Devon

The Faerie Queen’s review This novella was a surprisingly good read! It started out a bit weird, but then I got into it. At 120 pages, it’s very quick, and as you can imagine, things don’t get as developed as they could. I could have actually read a full version of this, but then I also loved how easy it was to get through. I could just enjoy it without getting too bogged down. I was also not feeling too great when I started it, but because it was quick and light, it was a great pick-me-up. The story is told over twelve chapters and swaps narration between Adriana, a “governess”, and Alexander, a duke. Guest Post: Shani Petroff\\, author My New Crush Gave to Me\\, on why she writes romance

Hi everyone! We have a special guest post for you from Shani Petroff, author of My New Crush Gave to Me! Today, Shani will be talking about writing romance. You can also find out more about her book and enter a giveaway at the end! Why I write romance I love reading and writing all sorts of books, but I have a special place in my heart for romantic comedies. For me, they are the perfect escape – a chance to momentarily put aside any stress or problems going on in the “real” world. For several hours you can lose yourself in the exploits of the leading character, who undoubtedly gets herself into amusing and cringe-tastic situations. While she experiences highs and lows and moments of failure and disappointment—at the end, there’s always a happily ever after. It’s the type of book that leaves a smile on my face. With a good portion […]

Review: Blame It on the Bet by L.E. Rico

The Faerie Queen’s review “You’ll get hurt again at some point in your life. We all do. That’s the price of living. But what’s the point of living if you don’t at least try?” Fellow readers, I have been on a heartwarming journey about home, family, and finding out who you are alongside someone who loves that very person. It was full of fuzzies. I can understand why this is an Entangled Bliss story as opposed to one of the other Entangled imprints. The focus of the romance was very warm but not hot, if you know what I mean. The steamier stuff was hinted at, but while Hennessy and Bryan did find each other very attractive, it was their respective personalities and vulnerabilities that drew them to each other. I also loved how there wasn’t any messing about, not really. Hennessy was especially direct, and it was unexpected and […]
